Have you tried surfing in cold water for hours without a wetsuit? Especially if your a newb and spend more time in the water than on the board .

I once did a dive in the channel on a monday morning in my 6mm semi dry at 14 degress... wasnt too bad.
Did another dive on the sunday and the weather had changed but i though fuck it ill be fine.... water was 6 degrees.
Got back onto the boat and couldnt hold my tea... felt like i was going to die i was so cold.
haha after that, even in the summer, i always wear my dry suit.
