how much would i be looking to get for a non running 1400 sport (head gasket blown for the 2nd time)

Depends on lots of things mate. if the shell is majorly rust free and the car has been looked after apart from obviosuly a lot more. its worth a bit of money to the right person. dont be hoping for more than 500 at most though pal.

looking for abit more than £100 to be honest, the wheels would probably fetch me around that if i broke the car.

btw there's 5x15" twin spokes all with nearly new tyres (apart from the spare which is bald)

no rips in the seats etc

iv heard of loads of 14xe's blowing lyke, my astra had one and did it. i just chucked some radwelds in and sold it as seen

how bad is it lyke?

think its pretty bad like, wont start up etc and chucked loads of white smoke out before dying.
plus all the water came out of the exhaust :S


the tax has 5 month left

m.o.t is due in october

just needs a new engine really but i have lost all faith in it now due to it happening for the 2nd time!

sell it now while its got that tax and test on, should get something half decent for it

it must of went inwards if its pissed out the exhaust, have you tried any dog crap, radwelds etc..

someones told me egg whites works

I would go to £150 if you also throw in the private reg.

Dare say you'll get more but if I buy it, I'll be there with the cash and a trailer within the hour.

Obviously holding out for more money may cause you slightly more delays. Dare say you may get it though if you wait long enough of advertise in the right place.

I would guess Ebay might be a start, as would Classifieds on here, but don't be expecting mega money, anyone will the resources to take it on also won't want to be spending hundreds to sort it when it's not worth that much sorted.

You could even do Mike a deal on his steelys before you list it, that'll make it more profitable.

just a sugestion, do it yourself, but do a cammed 8v head on it. something different innit

not tried anything as yet...its still at the garage awaiting a tow back to my house.
tbh i cant be bothered trying to get it running again as i am on the hunt for a new car so obviously the quick cash i get from selling my corsa will go towards the new car

thanks for the offer ian but i think it is now provisionally sold to someone local, i could sell the private reg for £2.50 if you would be patient enough to wait while i make another one on ms paint
