Not easy, box and flywheel off job. Also it's a bugger getting the seal out.

Bottom pully off, Belt off, Rear cambelt cover off, Then you can get to the seal and see it.

Not a simple job.

does the cam belt pulley not come off?

Well yes, But thats part of removing the rear cambelt cover, If I sat and listed everything that needs to be removed I'd be here for ages.

once all the bottom timing gear is off its not too bad, did mine on my old X14XE as per the haynes manual instructions... wind a self tapper into the plastic of the seal and pull it out with some pliers
