Go for the car
I pay £155 p/m roughly for my Mazda - all fuel, maintenance, insurance, tax etc etc included - for all business and private use
Best monthly outgoing I have, save so much through it - mainly due to the fuel being covered!

That's a £20k pay cut over three years.
Sure you could run a fairly nice car on a £20k budget.

also with fuel prices only going to rise you could probably sneak a few of the Mrs' petrol receipt in there to claim back too
No need mate, it'd be a fuel card so no need to pay for the fuel upfront and the Mrs gets her diesel for £1 litre through work so she's on a winner anyway.

difficult but think abot tax implications
Your BIK will be affected thus you will pay more tax
If your 40% tax payer then the amount of tax you pay for the car will double
Also you wil be taxed on the fuel if its all in
Guys at work get option to opt into fully fuel and its like being taxed on another car
For me, with insurance road tax, servicing, fuel etc I would be getting a compnay car
However if you do very few business mile snayway surely they will be looking to remove this benefit from you in the long run

40% Taxpayer which means its going to cost me £3150 a year extra tax but that is neutralised by the fact I'll probably get 8-9k for the VXR.
Also there is no chance of them taking the benefit away.

If it costs the same tax wise as the VXR does to run, you will be better off over 3 years, as you won't have depreciation to account for, maybe sell the VXR, whack the money into saving and earn a little off it (won't be much but better than loosing it!)
