Needs an oil change more often, some say half it.(if service is 10k change at 5k intervals) as with any engines some fuel seeps into the engine oil, the case with veg oil it turns the lube oil into jelly (depends how worn the engine is really).

Engine oil works but is smoky as hell, prob add like 10% in will be fine.

Also fuel filter needs changed a few times when you start using it as veg cleans out the shit in the tank, best to filter used oil with 1 micron filter bags before putting it into tank.

Using veg oil massively decreases emissions and it was actually costing VOSA (or whatever it was) more money to process the tax forms for using veg than they were getting back from taxing it so just put it to 2000L instead.

I thought veg oil was tax free, as long as you don't add Fossil fuels.

Its like everything tbh, they'll change the tax as and when it suits them depending on how many people start using it. Notice how diesel is 6p a litre more than petrol but costs about 6p less a litre to produce...

I used to run my old 1.9 D Turbo 306 on red. Was sweet as a nut. Fuel filter just turned a little pink.

Its free up until 2000L, your paying tax on fossil fuels as soon as it leaves the pump nozzle.

Loads of things are illegal but people still do them


not worth it with the hassle of buying RED in containers, looking over your shoulder for the men in blue, transferring this into your tank making a mess, and then to op it off, if your tank ever gets checked... say bye to your motor.

and your car wont run as economically on RED as its not as clean as normal diesel either
