Is it as easy to rep a mk4 astra as a corsa is! I love them but my insurance screams no to me!!
Any big differences other than engine wise? Ie built in grill or something?
Anyone done this? Pictures?

Leather interior wheels that's 1k gone a full kit your looking at 3-400 you don't have to worry about paint as that's what you do so yeah in your case it's nit that bad idea apart from when you tell your insurance company it's a rep lol

Last time I looked, its was about £350 for a set of snowflakes in ok condition, About the same for the front bumper with grilles and fogs, skirts are about £100, for a set of rear lights about £50, headlights are £70 for a new set of depo ones. Unsure on the price of a rear bumper (As they are slightly different)

As for the interior, They vary in price according to condition.

Your best bet is to go onto astra owners club and look for turbo chris, I think he comes on here, He breaks mainly GSI's so he should be able to sort you out with the bits you want!

Straight away you would need either a 1.8 or to convert the hubs on a 1.6 to 5 stud. you would tell it's a rep with 4 stud wheels.

kit is about £1k with interior so it soon becomes expensive.

As long as you get the facelift astra you won't need to buy rear lights as they were tinted/darker as standard once the car was revised

Seeing as its a rep,you could do it on the cheap without having to buy genuine parts.

Darker front lights can be done DIY.
Replica front bumpers can be had off ebay for about 100quid tops and some are meant to be very good quality.

Again, seeing as its a rep, where do you stop??
Could just concentrate on the exterior and it wont cost THAT much.

Pick up a cheap 1.8 Sport/Sxi etc as a base car.

Off the top of my head this is what you would need depending on what year and model astra you have

GSi Front Bumper £350
GSi Rear Bumper £175
GSi Side Skirts, complete with end caps & jacking covers £100
GSi Boot Spoiler £110
GSi Arch Spats £70
GSi Side Mouldings £50
GSi 17" Snowflake Alloys £300+
GSI Half Leather Interior £550
Smoked Headlights £60 pair
Smoked Rear Lights £50 pair
Turbo Grey/Black Leather Steering Wheel £100
Alloy Gear Knob £10
Alloy Buttoned Handbrake £10
Front 5-Stud Hubs,with knuckes & abs sensors £65 pair
Front 308mm Brake Kit (calipers,carriers,discs & pads) £100
Rear 5-Stud Hubs,with backings & abs Sensors £30
Rear Brake Kit (calipers, carriers, discs & pads) Lucus Type £60
Handbrake Cable £10
160mph White Dash Clocks £50
Grey Centre Console £50

I sell this stuff day in day to people who are doing reps etc so there should be some around for sale I would of thought if you didnt want to do it to your own car. The replica bumpers on ebay are shite, dont bother

Have a look at my website www.csautos.net
