right im currently insured with elephant and im on the 10 month bonus accelerator policy, what my question is that when my insurance is up for renewal and i decide to change company will they recognise this as 1 years ncb? heard of people that have done this and the insurance company refused to accept it as 1 years nc

Only the Admiral group will - ie. Bell, Admiral or Elephant.
I found that out the hard way a few years back!

the reason why im asking is because i dont wanna have paid all this money for insurance for elephant not to lower the price on my insurance then me having to go shop else where and them not to accept it! ill phone around tomorrow and ask if people accept it.

I got 2 years ncb through bells accelerator policy which Im now using with flux. Just sent the ncb forn that comes with the renewal.

I've never had any problem either, but I could see problems if you had more NCB than the time you'd had a licence if that makes sense.

In my 4 years of driving its always been one of the admiral group thats been cheapest so never had to change

It's supposed to count as a full years no claims, but Elephant havealways been cheapest for me so never had to find out if other companies don't accept them

My friend had hassle when he went to go with another company and he had '3' years no claims, they wouldn't accept it because he'd only been driving 30months.

when i did a quote a had to put id been driving for 2 years as my policy had run out 2 months before the date i got my license, which put the price up a bit

i have used 2 years of 10 months aof admiral as my 5?
most companies just ask for a proof of no claims anyway and it dont specify if its 10 or 12 months on that or how that bonus is made up
