Jag needs new tyres all round, 225/45 17 Y rating.

Currently got Pirelli P6000, which I believe is the standard supply tyre too but I don't rate them particularly in the wet or dry; its "just" okay but they've lasted quite well.

I always used to rate Avon ZZ3s on the corsa and Audi so was thinking of going for those but any other opinions would be appreciated

Kumho KU31s
Hankook Ventus V12
Toyo Proxes T1-R
Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta

I have KU31s on the front and love em.

My Goodyear F1s on the back have mishapen, guy at Pro Tyre said that it's always Goodyear. Never buying them again!

I had Kumho KU31's on the Ibiza in 17" best tryre I've had
Got the more budget KH31's on the focus now and you have to push very hard for them to let go

Never been a fan of Proxes since eating them alive on the ZetecS,

The Vredstein looks quite good. What about Yokohama AVS?

I fooking loved the old Toyos on my old z-s. They didn't last long but the grip was amazing.

I found they wore off in no time; amazing when they were first fitted but faded to less than useless with over 50% of the tyre remaining - never rated it!!

Continental SportContact3

Running them on my Daily at present - wear pretty well and give good grip in wet and dry.

Rate them much higher than the Dunlop SportMaxx I was using previously

Not sure on cost though!

If it's a daily drive then Mitchlins Energy Savers, I got 26k out of my last pair on the front of the MiTo, would have got a little more if I hadn't of made friends with a kerb.

Fairly cheap (I got mine from Tesco Tyres) and pretty good handling wise on the MiTo, not that I REALLY throw it about though.

I've got ZZ3's on the Mini - they're ok, but not great, I kind of wish I hadn't bought them. Purely because I use the Mini as a weekend toy so it does get driven quick-ish.

It struggles to hold grip on roundabouts, and certainly feels quite twitchy in the wet (not that I rag it about in the rain!)

A few mates have the Falken FK452(?) and they swear by them now.

I was being serious about the sunny's btw, they came on the beemer and they hold the road very well (I've thrown it rounf some bends) wet and dry very cheap too. Bit noisy though. Couple reviews on google someone had them on a scooby and was impressed.

They are really soft and actually bloody good in the dry... Same as the UHP's, really cheap but a really soft compound and a good tread pattern.

Are you planning on keeping it? If not get some ditchfinders on it.

Otherwise...Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta's are great - had them on the VXR.

Got standard issue Pirelli P Zero Rossos on the Audi. Great tyre but bloody expensive so don't go for them.

Can't financially justify getting rid so got at least 12-18months with it and I'll do 30-40k in that time so these can be reasonable.

Falken FK452's

I changed to these on the Ibiza from Eagle F1's and their just as good but a fraction of the price. Looking at around £75 for 205/40/17. My mate runs them on his astra vxr too and I know a few on here rate them highly too
