I just don't understand why people are jumping onto Steve's back when he asked fairly sensible questions. Bottom line is, if you download a film there is a 99.9% chance you'll need to convert before bunging it on your iPad. Unless you spunk £10.99 on a film from iTunes (or manage to download the film in MP4/Mov format, not formats that are widely used)

Buy a movie (no matter the cost) and transfer it and watch. Couldn't be any more simple?!

Jambo - Rental costs are ok, it's comparable to Sky Box Office/VM On Demand in terms of cost and quality of media. But they're charging BD prices (£10-15 for HD) for non-BD quality media (iTunes is 720p compressedd/4Mbps), which is a rip.

Exactly, I dont think anyone on this site was more dedicated to the Symbian OS than me, i swore by it right through the whole nokia range, then when the 3GS came out i was gone, it just works, Ive had mine since release date, this is the longest ive ever owned a phone 
All my mates used to follow me on phones then as soon as i said i had switched to iPhone every mate made the switch too!
