Mine are all over the place (have around 4 different folders that apps create themselves when you download stuff) and everything is in there? Not that I use it, I have WinAmp instead, much better

Ah right. Don't remember my Magic being shit like that.

Downloaded winamp which is doing a sync but that seems shite too tbh.

Very annoying.

The first time you use it with loads of music it needs some time to 'find' them - a bit annoying I will agree.

Has anyone got MMS messaging working on the Desire yet? I can only ever receive postage stamp sized pictures! On O2 BTW.

Google for 'O2 MMS Limit', there are ways around it by changing the user-agent.

Any idea how I would go about changing it on an HTC Desire?

I have root and the same custom ROM I posted above

Actually try Handcent (recommend tbh) or GoSMS first, as from what i remember you can change the MMS limit to 300kb (max network limit i believe) instead of the default 25kb limit. Otherwise you either change user-agent or pee around with the MMS.apk; no doubt there are tutorials on XDA for this.

I ran into this issue once, read around a bit and sacked it off and installed Ping (other person had it already).

Na mate, I'm still sporting the Magic. Does the job for me.

Mrs has just upgraded and got a Desire Z on a £10 a month contract, which I thought was damn good.

Very cool phone and pisses on mine, but was getting annoyed with it not finding the music, but it appears I'm too impatient

I never liked Handcent SMS on my Magic. Besides I had the same issue on that phone so seems pointless trying it again as it did not fix it on the Magic either
