I left school 9 years ago and after having no end of shit jobs I decided to do something about it. Now 2 years on I'm not far ff qualifying to become an electrician and have a job as an apprentice doing the job I love.Best advice is dont let it hold you back (whatever it is you want to do)

Regarding subject, best thing is to ask each faculty what they're doing about getting people jobs at the end of it. Typically the building trades have fairly good links with employers, the others less so but you need to go get some real data for that institution.

places i work are all timber yards, and we do all the machinery so you are crawling through sawdust/oil etc all day and the stuff gets everywhere.
