I think it's a great idea. The people who genuinely want to get thin won't get fined by the fat fucks who want to claim from the state will be forced to cough up. Need that over here.

Load of shite.
If you wanna be fat then fair do's, its your decision.
Why not just have them pay more in heath insurance on the report a doctor gives?
Should privatise theheathcare system over here. With massive premiums paid by unhealthy fat fucks, smokers etc.
Fairest way to do it. Fines from a doctor?

Seems unfair to pick on one section of people.
surely, Smokers, Drinkers and anyone else that spends money on past times not that healthy of them should'nt be assisted by the state.

Precisely. I think people are missing the key point that this is targetted at welfare claimants who cannot work because they are too fat, have been issued a diet and given advice and support to lose the weight and get back to work but wont do so. they arent just getting penalised for being fat

Its different in America as they have private healthcare, but is that article not talking about people who have State assistance to pay for health care?

Why not just stop thier dole?
30 quid off thousands a year isn't a bug deal really

They're effectively reducing their payment by $50 rather than stopping it. Seems like a reasonable thing to do.

But it's $60 off thousands, pointless.
Ed, if I was to give you a grand for free but took a tenner off it, would you care? No, it's free money. Should just stop payments as they are clearly taking the piss by not following diets
