For alloy wheels is it worth paying the extra £80-£90 for them to be powdercoated over paint?
Views & opinions please.

Quoted about £180-190 for powder coated
Thats tyres refitted and balanced.
Or about £100 -120 for paint but then will have to go pay for tyres fitted too so really probably only talking about at extra £40-50 for powder coat.

powder coat is more durable as steve says, only thing i noticed with mine is that certain chemicals (wheel cleaners) dull the paint and i then have to t-cut them.

My painted wheels past and present haven't suffered from stone chips.Plenty laquer takes care of that. The GF has even kerbed them and it never took the paint off.
