Every 40k according to Vauxhall or 6 yrs.

Should i look at doing the water pump at the same time?

how easy is it to change the water pump without changing the cambelt? I't around £200 to get cambet done alone but i don't fancy doing the timing myself.

Water pump is accesible while doing the timing belt.

Only accessible at that time? Easy enough to after a garage has done the cambelt? As i say, i don't fancy doing the cambelt myself

Vauxhall are quoting less than back street garages - what's going on

But they won't fit kit that they don't suppy

On a V6, it was about £300-£400 for a full cam belt kit including water pump and aux belt IIRC, that was from Vauxhall and using their parts so I imagine a little 1.8 will be much less in price.

Edit - price obviously includes labour.

every 50-60k i think

i've done 2 on mine in 48k

its 6years/60k, vauxhall will probably be much cheaper than most as vauxhall were doing epic deals on cambelt kit prices so dealers will do it cheaper, and yea do the water pump at the same time, dont it on mine as it needed it.
