Been working on the new album (Still Human) since the start of this year, did over 30 hours of recording last week and got the basics down, got another 30 hours this weekend to hopefully get it finished and mixed then finally mastered then it'll be off to France for pressing and printing for our release in September.
Had a rough copy to listen to from the Engineer and its sounding pretty good so far, its a fuller sound than we had last time and its definitly better than than the previous 2 albums.
Cant wait to get it finished

We're called The Shreds, I doubt we have been near the charts no, we're an entirely self sustained band and though we were with a couple of labels for a while nothing came of it, they were small labels that were lazy and thus folded.
Our 2nd album is on iTunes and its also called 'The Shreds'
The album on iTunes looks like this:

We've made about £10,000 but we've been going in different forms since 2000, the earliest member (lead singer / guitarist started the band in 1997.

Do you ever think "why do I bother?"???
I like playing and recording but if no ones is really listening then is there any point?
My college teachers always said if you haven't made it in 3-5 years then start a different band and try again.

We've never been in a band to 'make it' though. I joined the band because I love music, if I had joined the band to get famous I would have finished long ago
Our reportoire is a good 50 songs current, and at least 100 over the course of about the last 8 years, all our own work.
I'm proud of what we've acheived for ourselves. We clear about 300 copies of each album within the first 6 months, the rest are iTunes downloads and digital downloads etc.

So it's more of a hobby.
I'd like to play/perform professionally, but don't think I ever will.

We gig about once a month, the money we earn from gigging pays for our studio time (about £1600 for 6 days to record an album) We practice wednesday and thursday night from 1930-Midnight.
