really impressed with the help i get on this forum time and time again.

you would think UKMKIVs members have golfs and could help by checking the ignition lights in a coupla of minutes - this isnt the case unfortunately!

whilst you're on that note, The boot lock/handle/release cable broke yesterday so now We can't get the boot open. Can't work out how to get the boot plastics off when the boot is closed either so struggling with it a bit

to confuse you more, the missus is saying that there is and EML light but it doesn't light up on ignition; When her's had a fault; the EML light lit up AFTER the ignition sequence

The boot plastics require a fair amount of tugging (oooo errr).

there are screws inside the grab handles.

undo these screws.

the rest are just plastic/metal clips and just need a good old tug.

iv done it before on an anniversary i had.

hmmm possibly

although when i disconnected the MAF this didnt make it come on.
