Can anyone tell me what the "plug" is next to the dip stick that goes into the block? there is an oil leak coming from there on my Mrs. car and could do with finding out how to stop it

oil pressure switch, mine leaked not long ago, its a very easy and cheap fix got a new one from vauxhall for £6

How easy of a job was it? I'm alright with changing stuff, done rocker covers etc before.

Same here. Cheap and piss easy fix.
