when you get your counterpart licence back after getting points and the points aren't actually wrote down on your licence what does this mean?

its just that i already had 3 points for a TS50 and it is wrote down on my licence but iv just received another 3 for overtaking on double lines and i dont know what the offence code actually is as Yorkshire police use a different code at the roadside than the offence code?

any helps is much appreciated

Double white lines is TS20 although I would guess there might be some consideration for CD10/20/30 if you entered the path of other cars or prohibited any from turning etc.

The code can change, important one is what comes on the NIP which is posted to the keeper.

is that the yellow slip the nice police man gives you at the roadside? if so, i rang my insurance and gave them that code E1806 and they said "we dont recognise that code, you'll have to wait till your counterpart licence comes though with the proper code on" and there's no code on my licence

turns out its only Yorkshire police that use a different code

no the NIP should come via the post informing you that they intend to prosecute via court etc - you tick a box and agree to either let them carry on without you and accept a fixed penalty and points or contest it in court. This should be when you send your licence etc...

The yellow slip should just be a recipt of sorts to say you have been stopped and reported for your offence

My mum has had this problem. She was caught speeding, she paid the fine sent her license away etc etc but she has no points on it?

If they aren't on your paper part,then i see no reason as to why you would tell insurance.

More than likely been a fuk up somewhere.

dont know weather i should report the officer aswell or just leave it now haha

as i sat in the van he really raised his voice at me and used words such as "c*nt" and "little twat" which i thought was ironic as he was younger and smaller than me, seemed a bit mad with power.
fair enough i was in the wrong and im being punished for it but surely it doesn't give him the rite to speak to me in that manner. all i was replying with was "yes officer / no officer"
