So, I've taken my phone to a shop to get unlocked. They told me it would take up to 5 working days for apple to finalize it or something? I've been checking to see if its worked by going through itunes and I'm still getting the same message, "The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does not seem to be supported."

Am I doing something wrong?
Does it take longer than 5 days?
Is it blocked????

I was under the impression that you could only get a code through the network.

Unless this comes under jailbreaking? (I know nothing about jailbreaking and all that stuff BTW so sorry if I'm sounding thick here )

I've been asking since 15 June... been fobbed off by various nobheads. Finally sorted it out this morning.

Had the same message as you... it genuinely takes 48 hours from Apple... so 5 days is bull. I put a request in on Friday 5pm and it was unlocked this morning when I tried. Tell the shop to put their request in again.

Thats the screen I've been waiting for. I'll try again tomorrow

Different network carriers have different prices, I think? Not entirely sure?

Yeah about £15 or something minimal, because they fucked it up and i've been asking since 15 June, they wavered the fee.

If it's a contract phone how long does it have to be before you can pay to unlock it?

Just wondering as my iPhone 4 is on the 3 network ATM.

BTW Whittie - thought you were getting a BB because you thought the iPhone 4 was shit?

So, nearly 2 weeks now.

They've requested another unlocking code.
Let's see how long until I give them a call back
