I'm after a new digi camera to take away with me when i go sightseeing, sporting events, gigs, nights out etc.. Generally like Sony and Samsung and also the Canon IXUS range... I'd rather not spend more than £100 if poss and would like somehting that can take pics in all lights, a reasonable zoom and also can take short movies (HD not necy required).

Any suggestions? If it cna be puchased reasonably through Jessops then even better as my Dad has a £50 card that he wants rid of, thanks!

I got my Dad this Lumix for his Birthday from Jessops and was really impressed with the quality for £100

However if you could stretch another £60 the Lumix FT10 may suit your needs as it waterproof, dust proof and shockproof

I've got a Lumix FT2 and it takes on all comers, 14MP, HD Video, Waterproof down to 12m, Freeze Proof to -10C, shock proof from 2m and dust proof.

Ideal for someone as clumsy as me!
