how do i change my engine without a engine hoist and is it easy to change as i have never changed 1 before the engine i have is a 1.0 and i am doin a straight swap to another 1.0 as my engine will cost to much to repair
or should i just let the garage change the engine for £150-£190 and that is on the cheap??

If you have never done one and you ant got a crane i would let the garage do it tbh as its so much easier with a crane on the other hand to rent one its 50 quid for the weekend and then do it and you could save a bit of money and learn juat make sure you got a couple mates with ya

I managed a 1.0 change withOUT a engine hoist by taking front bumper, crash bar, radiator etc of then going from there with help of a friend, so imo get the garage to do it, much safer and more straight forward.

Got my 1.2 16v changed for £80 no engine crane just trolley jacks lol
So a 1.0 wouldnt be to hard judging by the size of them
