Parked in a local supermarket car park in between a corsa d and a Clio and never noticed the size difference until now. Anybody else think that in the future there won't be such thing as a small car?

Opinions?

They'll just introduce smaller stuff as new models. Like Peugeot 107 / Citroen C1 etc.

Depends if Vauxhall or Renault want to be in that market.

Vauxhall already have the Agila which is slightly smaller.

It's what they do. Every time a model is revised they have to make it bigger and better to give the impression of being a more practical car.

Eventually a new small model drops underneath to fill the void. Happens with every mass manufacturer.

Me and my mum were at vauxhall a few weeks ago looking at cars for her. The corsa D was taller than the astra and not much shorter!

you wouldnt say that when your stuck in the rain on the side of the m11 because British Leyland ran the main Earth underneath the length of the car externally and it came unclipped and melted on the exhaust causing a complete failure of electrics

I believe there was something on top gear a while back where they compared two golf Gti's, one was a mk1 and the other was mk5, the power from the Mk5 was a lot more but because it was so heavy it was hardly any quicker.

I guess they will make small cars when they refine the technology of today !

when i was a young kid, my dad got a ford granada for its size and for us 3 kids, a small hatch back then had no chance, think my mum had a metro

small cars are more practical now and better thought out.

Your girlfriend has to put them somewhere I guess, not enough room in the front for them as well as her.
