with out looking in to it, most metals will dis-form at fair bit lower temp than they melt


Cast iron is brittle, it will crack or shatter b4 it bends.


doesnt mean it doesnt have a plastic state at a certain temperature

cracks are more likey if cooled down too quickly

I went through a set of front pads within 10k on the road...so doing lots of "trackdays" could easy fuck a few sets of pads in 4000 miles.

Well he did Bedford and I haven't done the track myself (it's on the to do list!) but that back straight looks pretty lengthy?

130mph is easy at Bedford, not for me in the MX5 but my mates CooperS was getting 130 without complaints
