OK, if you had 173bhp at the wheels. What would you say it had at the fly?

There are a lot of theories for calculations etc out there so intrested to see what power you think it would be (approximately of course).

Thought it was around 20% transmission loss?

That also depends on the condition of the box

That's for 4wd. Fwd is around 15% so that would be just about of 200 at the fly

200ish
depends on the following:
Tyres - track or road
Tyre pressure - low or high
any chance on a slightly sticking brake calliper

you can't calculate it after the only way to get a properly "calculated" flywheel figure on a rolling road is to use a dyne and software that works out transmission losses on a run down where the car is left to coat down to idle our of gear, that works out the drag.

As a general rule of thumb i have always went by add 10 to the wheel figure then divide by 0.9.That gives you an estimate for the flywheel figure.

Obviously it won't be bang on but RR figures never are and this just gives an idea.

Its a 2l duratec from the ST and it was on a hub dyno so rules out a lot of factors as mentioned by broster

transmission losses are less wit ha hub dyno as you have no tyre contact to worry about etc, what modifications have been done to the engine to get it to that power?
great engine to tune the duratec, we built a 2.3 on throttle bodies which did 330bhp, not a cheap build but man did it fly!!!
