Quick question, a friend of mine has an audi A4(I think) estate. The rear seats fold as 2 and 1 as normal but attached to the back of the 2 seat bench is a roll privacy cover screen thing which is the width of all 3 seats, what this means is that you can't fold the 2 seat bench down on its own, only the 1 seat.

Its the thing with the handle in this image

If you understand what I'm referring to, does anybody know if this thing can be taken out completely so the 2 seat bench will go down on its own? We take a few bikes out with us and could do with the 1 seat up for a passenger, can't find anything online about it. We had a look and couldn't find anything obvious to remove it

On most cars they have a button at each end you have to press then pull it out..

It would seem a bit daft if it doesnt come out.

My jeep has one and it's like a bog roll holder. Press in at one end then the other releases

When I've had Audi A4 estates as courtesy cars I've always been able to take that out. They do come out like Davey and Jambo have said. I had to take it out to get 2 bikes in the back.

I'm sure I did take it out. Why won't the double seat go down on its own?

if you can take that thing out then they should go down on their own, but it is attached to the back of the 2 seats so when you push them down the 1 seat has to go down as well

Yeah it does come out; you need to lower both back seats and slid out of the back door; not as easy as most cars to remove but does come out.

Mine has its missing so the previous owner def managed it
