unscrew them rather then using a hammer and chisel

no they should fall out once u unscrew them, if they are glued, then just give them a push from the inside and they should come off

What about heating the glue up with a hair dryer, then ease a knife in to break the glue.

you sure you've checked correct? go into your boot take off the side panal and have a look at the 4 corners where there bulbs are - should be 4 screws... I'm about to do the same.

If it is geniuinely glued - haha gutted.

gently prise it off with a small screwdriver or alternitivly use ur willy
