As you may know, just got married, the missus still has her old name on the insurance policy and her driving licence (soon to be changed with DVLA). It is changed at the council and National Insurance so assume it is now official, what's the deal with the car insurance until she gets her licence changed? I only ask because the policy runs out middle of October so seems a bit silly to spend £50 on admin fees (and probably a policy hike price as well!!) when the overall policy only cost £450 in the first place.
Technically, is she uninsured at the wheel, how does it work with name change due to marriage through the policy?
Cheers

I Wouldnt of thought it would make a big difference, if your insurance is up in about a month i wouldnt bother. Just make sure its all correct when you renew or whatever. Check with the dvla or insurance company if too worried

i would just leave it tbh. whats the likelyhood of her getting pulled over? and even if she does, she can just say shes in the process of getting it changed over.
they can't expect you to change everything over in a day.

Well, the likelyhood is pretty much zero, she is only second on the insurance, she is unlikely to drive again after today so maybe I'm worrying over nothing, it's only if she prangs it up town this afternoon
Feck it, I'll leave it, her licence still says her old name so it will be fine

She will still be all legitimately covered, your insurance may well come down now that you're married.
