As usual, all pictures and text are lifted from detailing world.
Also its not me doing the work. Its my brother, so I can't answer any detailing questions.

It had been a few years since we last did a 360 and this one was in quite a rare colour:



The new owner of the car had been contemplating a respray as the car was showing severe signs of neglect from the previous ownership, however after discussions with us we assured him we could keep the paintwork original and restore it to its former glory.

The grills and intakes were showing signs of rust and parts were flaking off:



The wing mirror base plates had corroded and the coating had flaked off in large pieces on the driver’s side:



Passenger side wasn't so bad, just a small area at the bottom but this would need to be attended to as well:



The off side rear quarter had been keyed at some point in the past but it wasn't as bad as it could have been so I was confident of sorting that:




Few more pics to give you a feel for the overall condition of the car:
























The wheels had just recently been refurbished so a light going over with Auto Finesse Imperial Wheel Cleaner brightened them up nicely:




Tyres and arches were cleaned with Citrus Power:




Citrus Power was again used for the engine bay:






After the rest of the wash and decontamination stages the car was put inside and dried off with a combination of PB Luxury Drying Towels and the Black Baron.

As the job card was pretty big for this car and time was precious I didn't take a huge amount of pics throughout the detail but I tried to get the important ones

First up was to paint those sorry looking grills and intakes...

Then the wing mirror base plates which were rubbed down, primed and then painted:





Paintwork wise, it was pretty swirly with alot of random scratches and machine trails from previous polishing attempts:

















I started off correcting the bumpers/side skirts etc first and found that a Lake Country Light Cut pad and Menzerna 3.02 gave the best results on the single stage paint:



Obviously there are a couple of deeper marks left which needed a 2nd hit to fully remove.


50/50 on the top of the bumper:




I think it's easy enough to see what part has been corrected here:






Onto the metal panels (which were clear coated) I had to step up to a Lake Country H-T Cyan Pad as the clear was slightly tougher:

If you look closely you can still see a very light trace left but I was happy with the outcome after approx 8 microns removed.



A couple more before & afters:








This is where the pictures stop unfortunately so I'll list the rest of the process:


Exterior:

- Paintwork refined with Lake Country H-T Crimson Pad & Menz 85RE.
- Full IPA wipe down.
- Car then rinsed and blown dry to remove polishing dust.
- Paintwork prepared for wax using Auto Finesse Rejuvenate.
- Paintwork waxed with Auto Finesse Spirit.
- Glass polished and sealed with Werkstat Prime Strong.
- Wheels sealed with Swissvax Autobahn.
- Tyres dressed with Swissvax Pneu.
- Tailpipes polished with Raceglaze Alutech.
- Rear diffuser waxed with Swissvax Opaque.

Interior:

- Thorough hoover and dust out of vents etc.
- Leather cleaned with Swissvax Leather Cleaner.
- Glass cleaned with Auto Finesse Crystal.
- Carpets protected with Nanolex Textile & Leather Sealant.
- Door shuts polished and protected with Auto Finesse Triple.
- Seals fed with Swissvax Seal Feed.


Engine:

- Exhaust silencer polished with Meguiars NXT & LC Light Cut Pad.
- Dressed with Aerospace 303 Protectant.
- Glass polished and sealed with Werkstat Prime Strong.



I think that's pretty much it, now for the afters which were taken on our new camera which Rich is still getting to grips with (I'm not allowed to touch it yet :lol

I used to see a 360 spider everyday on the way to college, no matter the weather. Thing always looked filthy but I guess the driver enjoyed his daily commute more than the rest of us.

As said above, these are still one of my fave Ferraris

Nice to see the end results as they really did have their work cut out. That paintwork was shocking for such a nice motor, on the other hand it looks like its been driven like it was meant to...

I couldnt do that, would have it polished up and only out when the sun shines, driving along trying to miss the flies
