but looks are subjective. rolls royce phantoms depreciate like a bitch, doesn't mean they're not desirable or good looking.

they have depreciated quick because they are a common mainstream car that guzzles petrol and goes through front tyres quick.

couple that with people now wanting smaller engines for better fuel economy and it's easy to understand why they're now cheap.

im another person who has never understood the love for fords people have the 2.0 16v engine from the cosworth is a bit of an icon but i would say no more than the c20xe/c20let....

ford these days hold back for some reason and i dont know why.... the orange st is a lovely colour but was always gonna end up over common and eventually people get bored which equits to depreciation etc etc...

fords for me in my circle of friends and family have all but been a let down and to me come accross very cheaply made...

mrs mum had a escort 1.8 16v si which well fell apart so they got rid.... they then got a 2001 fiesta zetec s which i hated the plastics used internally seemed very cheap and dont fit properly as i could see into the bowls of the car....

mate had st170 which again fell apart.

good friends puma had nothing but problems with everything from sensors to excessive oil consumption which lead to him needing a new engine at a cost of 1800 quid....

personally i would never own a ford ever im sure some people will have seen the above happen with the like of vauxhall/seat/volkwagen etc etc but for me ford have been the utter let down and whats with the rust?????????????????????????????????????
