Sale fell through with the BMW 5series I was looking at, Always fancied one of these - One of those cars on the to have list!

What are they like too live with? Things to look out for and exspect?

Ive never owned a turbo car and always fancied it, Any recommendations when first driving one? People have said let the Turbo warm up/down, Anything else?

Regards Tom

There's been a few threads about these recently, I have got one and the common problems are coil packs are known for going, rust on rear arches and rust around the front and rear windows, window Regulators go aswell, they can easily be tuned just depends how much you want to spend tuning it?

The Ibiza cupra have a secondary water pump which cools the turbo down by it's self, I only let it sit there for a few mins if I've been on a long journey

How much have you got to spend on one?

These are very cheap now. I personally would stay well away from the onvi yellow. No matter how good the paint work is it'll fade and the laquer will 100% peel and polishing won't fix it either. It's a full paint job.

Shit brakes. Shit handling. EML that lights up more than a christmas tree in december.

CTR or 172 is a much better shout.

You'd be hard pressed to find a decent CTR for that money. The 172 will handle better but thats about it.

I put plenty of feedback regarding my ownership of one of these may years ago in the other thread.

However Rob R has summed it up reasonably fairly TBH

Good fun car, not the best handling, I've had 3 never had a coil pack issue.
Just keep on in the boot if you ever need, Maf is a common problem though.

Nice power increase with a Map too from standard
