Had enough of the current place, with distance etc. Found another job more/less on my door step doing similar job for bit more money. I've been in my current job for 8yrs (straight from school), and yes it's okay but want something else now. But I can't remember how to write a CV What needs to go on and i've got some crap grades (personal reasons) so want to try and avoid them if possible.

Cheers.

altho for ref, mine starts with a personal statement then lists professional quals, a brief eductaion histiory and then a CONCISE, RELEVANT and UPSOLD summary of what each of my previous jobs have entailed as well as my key successes.

never stood me in bad stead and i do alright for myself

Name and address
Education
Work History (most recent job first)
Hobbies
References

For the work history set it out like:

Mar 2010 - Present: Company name

Position: Job title

-
-
-
-
-
-

Make sure and put in at least 5 responsibilities - more if you can!

Hope that helps!

From memory, mine just says "References available upon request" and most employers i've applied to have given me a form to fill out with referee's details

and in particular with this senario as you've been with your current employer since school.
Assuming you havent told your current employer you wont be able to put them down as a reference and the new employer wont care about your paper round from 10 years ago.

Character references are sometimes requested, other half has an interview in the college tomorrow and one of the references had to be someone had known her for x number of years and was in a position of trust
