It's worth doing if you fit a powerbox.

iv heard its a load of bull and still to this day haven't seen any proof of it making a performance increase at all although a lot of people have said it runs smoother on idle.
aren't i rite in thinking your eml comes on after a certain speed aswell...?

Type properly.
No power gains, Sure your stopping a bit of warm exhaust going in, But it won't be enough to notice so Don't expect to.
EML will come on as it did before blanking if you had a EGR issue, The main reason for blanking it is to stop it causing bad idle/stalling. It may come on even if you didn't have a issue before, Normally comes on if you sit at a constant speed and RPM and then let off/slow down.
If you fit a powerbox, It blanks it where it goes into the TB.

Lexmaul keeps the EGR. A Manzel style one won't as they should come with a blanking plate for the TB but its recommend to blank the EGR properly when fitting a powerbox anyway.

A proper mantzel fitting kit comes with a feed to go from the EGR to the box so you can retain the EGR.

The EML won't come if the EGR is still plugged in.

Have a look on google images mate. Baxisally there are two threaded holes into the box. On the right is the vacum for brakes, manifold pressure sensor and fuel reg etc.
The other (one closer to the middle of the box) is for the feed from EGR. Mantzel supply a EGR blanking plate with a take off for the pipe into this.
Doesn't matter either way if you keep it or not be honest.
