Has any1 fitted a aux drive belt tensioner on a corsa B with aircon.

I did today, at work wot a complete C**T!!!!!! of a job

I did mine a while back but mine hasnt got aircon luckily. Heard its a right pain in the tits because the belt goes round the mount doesnt it?

Yea the mount is right in the way other wise i would of removed the aircon pump and put a belt on for no aircon

I had the engine surported and undone the mount bolts there is 1 hidden above the a/c pulley. Removed the crack pulley & used a 10mm ratchet spanner to undo the 2 Torque bolts that hold the tensioner & then when it's loose it came out through the bottom of the engine. I left the belt on coz I couldn't get it off.

I was able to have my car on a 2poster ramp at work which was good.

its a bit of a challange with a 'limited' tool kit, and doing it on the floor




heres the little bugger




but i finally got it out after 5 hours lol

well its done now, sorted the rust, got to do cam belt now, then comes the exhaust, manifold then the ITBS
