I started playing paintball 4 years ago - went to a 'punters' day for my birthday and got hooked Started playing woodlands paintball every second Sunday for a while and started to buy my own gear and was enjoying it until I found out about 'Tournament' (SupAir) paintball - and then got proper hooked on that!!!
Basically this is played on a field with inflatable bunkers that are set in a layout which is often rotated every 2-3 months. Huge sport in America and massive in Europe - its actually the 'World Cup' this weekend. I would say its paintball with some aspects of NFL thrown at it (i.e. preparing formations, tactics, aggression, gameplays, side line coaching)
I know this all sounds ghey, but the markers are setup to shoot 10.5 per second in the European Series, its an extreme sport and imo one of the most competitive out there. Its not cheap either... markers (guns) can cost up to £1200 for the top end ones
******* Youtube Clip - Event in America ********
Ghey picture of me last year playing in a European Tournament

I've stopped playing for a while as it was costing me stupid amounts of money and time, 3 out of 4 weekend were taken up by paintball. Would also say it was robbing me of £200 a month lol and that was just playing in the UK lol, most of the Pro and Semi-Pro teams in the UK attend European events and even travel to America to compete
As for pain.... its weird, I stopped feeling the 'pain' when I moved into Tournament paintball. This is because you are sooo pumped up with adrenaline that you body blocks it out.
so... that's my input to this thread... seems pretty pointless now but hey, I was bored and through I'd share my experiences :-D

they should have a mask with a couple of those little satchets you get with trainers/shoes.
that'll help with any misting problems.

Had fun!
Mask steamed up like fuck but carried on.
I came the most prepared, layers of clothing and a hat.
Bought a frag grenade and two smoke bombs too, witch were useful in some of the games.
Managed to win the game for my team on two of the games by capturing the flag and taking it to the enemy's base.
Skin broke on my hand and a few bruises to the back (and wallet)
Oh, and they made me and my mate wear dresses for the last game because it was his birthday and I was his best chance of survival in the birthday round.
