If you cook your own food at home, do you lean towards stuff out of packets from the freezer / fridge or do you buy all the ingredients and cook your own meals from scratch?
Now I live on my own again I cook about 70% of my food from raw ingedients and rarely dip into food from packets, don't remember the last time I had a ready meal.

used to always have frozen food during the week and have fresh food at weekends, but had enough of the cardboard taste from frozen food, so tend to cook a lot more food fresh now.

50/50, don't normally have time during the week.
Frozen stuff I buy is half decent though, won't have a ready meal.

Frozen most of the time but that's due to how little time I get to use the kitchen. When I move out I expect this to be fresh most of the time

Packet food, I've never made something from scratch, not because I CBA but I'm just shit at cooking. I struggle to have everything ready at the same time

Bit of both. It's all good saying fresh but its very time consuming and you need to plan ahead so the ingredients don't go sour

Same as barnshaw. I use fresh meat and veg, noodles, rice etc but pour a ready made sauce in.

I've noticed that asda's own brand sauces are often as good if not better than the big name brands. Just thought I would say that.

Most sauces are usually just tomato based anyway. For a few pence more could probably make them.
