I'm doing a report on the social responsibilty of the John Lewis Partnership and in doing this I have to identify an area for improvement. Anybody got any dirt on them, or even if any of you work for them are there any examples of poor working conditions etc etc
Bit of a strange request, but any info would be much appreciated as they seem to have a squeaky clean image.
Cheers!

Yeah they are good. Used to do work for their insurance arm, and used to go out with a girl who worked there and never heard a bad word about them. Probably boils down to the 'partnership' element more than anything else.

They screwed up an order I made with them, I ordered a silver microwave and they sent me a white one, a few phone calls to them and finally they sent me the silver one yet never collected the white one! A friend of mine works there and all I've heard is good stuff.

I did a study on them for my AVCE Business Studies - fantastic company. No dirt.
I guess one bit of dirt might be the products they source. e.g. Nike trainers made by kids etc.

I did an AVCE back in the day too, think they were replaced with a BTEC or something.
As for sourcing of certain products, its a weak argument, but maybe the only one I would have, and thanks for suggesting it. To be honest I might abandon my findings and move onto another company, I've two other assignments due in beofre hand so can think about this in the background for a bit.
Thanks.
