Alright I had a 1.5 td corsa and so did two friends all had the same problems alternator and radiator but could of been due to increasing the boost and fueling other than that it never realy needed fixing good little winter cars with a good battery on

got a 1.7d corsa which has covered near 170k miles lol still going strong and nothing major has gone or is any where near going. check the common rust spots and just general wear and tear etc

Alternator went on my 1.5TD at about 135k, fairly bullet proof except I ran mine low on oil and knackered the big end bearing other than that good engines the Isuzu's

Waterpump went on mine but took a hour to swap.

Yes I second the water pump but would have another isuzu any day if you wanting something cheap to run and reliable they spot on just giv the underside a look over thats why mine went to the scrappy

Had a 1.5td and loved it only thing in 6 months that went wrong was the alternator but its an easy fix other then that its a great engine

Rust is the only major problem.
Engines are pretty solid.
My 1.5 has done 200k miles, near enough trouble free, bar the alternator.

Just service them regularly and they will be fine
