Well there will certainly be a tolerance on that figure but it's not worth it, its only designed to get you home, get your proper wheel sorted!

Would you really want to do more than 50 mph on something that will be about as useful as a bicycle tyre if you had to respond quickly?

Jed it was xa0s, he claimed he did 140ish iirc, I still don't know if he was trolling or if he's genuinely that numb that he would try it. Worryingly I suspect the latter.

Mate of mine was doing 120mph+ on a space saver and it was fine

straight line might be ok on a space saver, the tests they have done indicate its when cornering/ avioding something when it gets scary

I was driving my Dads Mondeo with a space saver on. Long story short, I had to go on the M1 for 1 JCT then I was off and at the tyre place. On the M1 I tried to do 50 mph but was about to be stuck inbetween 4 lorrys, so I put my foot down and get upto 70 mph.

I felt the tyre when I was at the tyre place and it was VERY hot! I really wouldn't have liked to go any further or any faster.
