Its possible to turbo charge any engine with the right knowledge and parts. If its worth it is totally different though.

You can turbo any engine, turbo is driven by the exhaust gasses and puts higher pressure air in to the intake.
A lot of overseas countries prohibit engine swaps so this is a popular alternative.
Over here it makes more sense to change the engine for something larger.

12 valves are about 55bhp standard aren't they? If so, as an absolute max you'd be looking a a 40% increase which equates to 77bhp, which is 1.2 16v power but where a 1.2 16v engine could be done for maybe £200, a turbo would be considerably more, plus more work.

No, Gaz off here told me it was his mate and I could have it as the original Mike hadn't used it since '06 and had no plans to use it again so I asked Ian the other day.

ones on youtube are 1.2 8v style, they dont get 12v's.
there is apparently a T2 or T3 that has the correct flange to bolt straight onto the standard manifold.
Still a stupid conversion IMO as its not worth the money.

The ones on YT are most likely the south american Corsa's which are 1.0L 8v (iirc) turbo's as standard. Its a Chevy engine.
