Its a shagged registry, if its happening every time u start the PC, then something is changing the registry every time after its replaced with the backup.

U got antivirus software?

run ur anti-virus if i wa u! u may have erased some start-up files by accident!

erm or what u wud be best off doin is putting what u want on to Cds and the reboot ur system and start fresh!
