Can anyone recommend one?
I was going to get one from Curry but after reading the reviews, im going to skip it. Apparently it can't even do what it says on the box. I need to to be able to rip the DVD to my hard drive and convert it to MP4 so it can be played on my tablet. I've been using a free one I downloaded but it has a water mark on it and I would rather buy a product from a store than put all my card details in a website that I don't know.

Have you used that before? It says on their website it can't be used on DVDs with copy right protection.

Yeah sorry, forgot to say that you might need to use a decrypter like DVD Shrink (http://www.dvdshrink.org/much_en.php), again free, which will bypass any protection and also allows you to remove sections of the DVD (like special features, different audio and subtitles etc). Just make sure 'no compression' is set on the main movie before backing up to your hard drive.
Once it's been copied, run handbrake on the Video_TS directory and convert to what ever format/codec you want.
