My sister has just bought a 2000 ford ka. No rust, in fact there wasn't any rust on any we looked at?

Hers has developed a small oil leak though. I'm popping to my parents on the weekend to fix it for her, hopefully just a sump gasket.

you had the bumpers off?

hit and miss with regards to rust and depends how well they've been cleaned in the past.

1.3 engine is decent enough as the car doesn't weigh much.

This. Guy at my work has patched up the petrol flap ones that hadn't even been registered before!!

Rust, bottom arms, rear axle bushes, head gaskets, heater valves. All common.

Easiest engines ever to work on though, just very cramped in a ka engine bay.

my missus had a low mileage on that was very well looked after yet the petrol cap rusted extremely badly at 5-6 year old.

Sills rust through.

rust around the filler cap is pretty much guaranteed. They rust everywhere tbh.

Wishbones are thin and bend easily if you hit kerbs. (2 step sisters both with KAs :lol

Door locks tend to fuck up.
