I've got an 04 plate with 80k, gonna put a full mot on it. No history but £1400? Owned it 2 years selling cos I'm banned
On top, gear linkages are common

Don't know much about the car in question but the mileage at 80,000, so I would make sure there has been a cam belt done otherwise you will need to pay £250 or there about's for that to be replaced.
Pretty sure its needed every 40k.

It's a 1.4 so will be a chain, which is every 10 years or 100,000 miles, although they do get louder after around 60,000 miles. Check the gears go in easy and aren't clunking otherwise it will need a new linkage.

Also it will most likely have EcoService intervals, which means the intervals change depending on how the car is driven. So when you go to look, with the key out of the ignition, press and hold the button for the trip counter and it will tell you how many miles until the next service

There fairly good and solid cars, I've had 2 now bought my last one not long ago, look out for a rattling when going over bumps ect it'll be the drop links £10 each easy job and that's that cured, as said some were else timing chains are noisy, mine is very noisy so will change that at some point runs perfect though, oil pressure sensor can some times be a problem if you looking in the engine bay it's the top left of the black small thin wire coming out of it you'll see oil around it I it's going £8 though screw out new one in 5 minute job, centre pipes tend to rust on these every one i no of has started blowing at the centre silencer, apart from that nothing bar the normal bits really
