hello, iv done a fair few corsa b c20xe n c20let conversions in my time, but the corsa c is abit new to me . Im looking for abit of help with people that have done or if it is possible to do, currantly my mrs has a 1.4 16valve z14xe non twinport ,engine in her corsa c sri and it is getting worse for wear (little tappy wen cold , an very little blue smoke) i have a 1.8 16 valve small block engine out of a vectra b, belive to be a x18xe1 non twinport ?? i have all wireing loom and ecu , transponder , chip for key , gearbox etc, would it go straight in the corsa and run once all plumbed in ??
and it will all be declared properly as my mrs and kids have to get in the car aswell

The 1.8 smallblock from the Vectra B is the X18XE1 which is slightly different. Also I don't think they did a twinport Z18XE, but that doesn't matter too much.

The late Vectra Bs did come with z18xe which is the same as the corsa sri 1.8 engine

Did they? I thought it just changed over at 2000 when they went to the X18XE1. Must have been very late ones to have the Z engine I suppose.

yea the vectra i had engine from had a smallblock z18xe same as corsa c sri 1.8 , i just wanted to be sure it will run, but il do the trial n error bit lol

Sell hers buy a 1.8 . I swopped a twinport 1ltr for another different engine code and in end I made a good one out of two . Massive difference between both and a ball ache. My fault for not fully checking like but I wouldn't reccomend

I thought the 1.4 and 1.8 engines in the Corsa C were supposed to be pretty similar, so in theory it shouldn't be too hard a job. But then again I've never done a conversion so it may not be as simple as I think

Pretty sure warren or someone else who equally knows their shit said it was hard to do due to wiring.

Yeah same setup.. same ECU/Loom etc.. but I'm not sure if the 1.4 has got the front Torque mount on the sub-frame.

You sure its a 1.4Sri ? 1.4 Sri's came with a twin port engine
