Lately my galaxy s2 has gone really slow, when i click on messages it takes a few seconds to open and when i click off it, it takes a few seconds to close.. i deleted the last few games i have downloaded to see if that was the problem but its still running really slow, any ideas?

have you done a software update?
If not, do one.

Also worth closing apps properly and make sure there's nothing running in the background that should be.

yeah i always close all my apps properly, ill plug it in now to see if theres an update but i did do one a few weeks ago

Have you actually powered down the phone and restarted it?

I had this issue awhile back and a switch off, battery removal, switch back on after 5 mins helped.

In addition I think I disabled the USB debugging option. Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.

When anything doesn't work turn it off and on, never ask anything else until you've done that.

Has it been switched on for months

no it runs out of battery most weekends when on a night out so its been off quite alot
