When the dude parked there, there were no double yellow lines, and he got a ticket after they painted them.
Stupid Britain.

He parked car there deliberately to stop them
Doing it, so the painted around the car planning on doing rest.
Man number 2 comes along, obviously doesn't look under the car for continuation of lines, an gives ticket

May well have.
Although if you don't want yellow lines outside your house, this may be a way in his opinion to get his own back an the idea. Also not read article

The road that it's on is a load of terraced housing, a few of them have garages, but most don't and park on the street outside their houses.
This guy works at the petrol station around the corner, parked his car there for his shift, and came back to the ticket etc...

THey get a letter through the post advising them to leave the street clear.
Ive seen them relay a road with a car parked there, it got smashed to bits.

They didn't put cones down, and the guy doesnt live there, so wouldn't of seen a letter anyway, not surprisingly the council have rescinded the ticket and blamed a "communication breakdown"

At my dads place a few years ago, they came over painting parking spaces outside the houses, 1 of my brothers cars was parked there as it wasnt running and never moved it, they just missed a line out and never came back to do it.
