Hi guys
Just after some advice. I've just stripped my Phase One Rallye track car but have loads of wires left over that I don't need any more for the heater/ handbrake/ stereo/ interior lights etc. Im tempted to just trim them then wrap them up neatly but is that a safe way to do it or should I trace them back to the fuse box and strip them out completely? Im just not great with wires to be honest and Im a bit lazy too!
Just need to clean the inside a little bit, give it a quick coat of cherry red and it will be ready for the cage
Oh and while I remember, I want to get rid of the matrix. Is the best way just to join the two water pipes?

Matrix: a elbow hose tail fitting and some jubilee clips.
Wiring: leave it. You'll save more weight having a shit before you take it out on the track

What do you think this will weigh once I get a pair of 7kg seats in and a 28kg roll cage? Car is running approx 145bhp so it should go well!

Think Ill just have to be extra careful with the wires! There isnt much in there now that needs power to be honest and most of that stuff is under the bonnet!

You'd save more weight fitting polycarbonate windows over chopping un used wires. Chop back as far as you can and tape the ends up stop them touching each other and you can't go wrong

To be honest with the wiring Im not really after saving weight, its just to keep them tidy! More worried about getting in and standing on them or ripping them out if you know what I mean?
Polycarb windows soon though!
