Looks awesome.

Video was very good quality. No doubt the lenses used were more than the camera

Impressive numbers but I don't think the video looks anything special.

D300s has been around a while and vids ive seen from that dont look any worse than this.

36MP? seriously WTF?

Normal mortals need no more than 12mp and even then....

Impressive though.

it'll be purely a studio shooter for many of the owners I think.

Why do normal mortals only need 12mp?

As long as it's not at the expense of quality you can never have too much detail.

I think in terms of pixels and dpi, once you exceed the resolution of both realistic print and displays it just hogs massive resources and storage. I produce 16mb raw files and 7mb jpegs at max on my D700. 36mp extrapolated would be around 21mb an image at max setting for a Jpeg, god knows how much for a raw file.

Print and display dpi will continue to increase. Storage gets cheaper and processors get faster so the bigger files become less of an issue.

You only get 1 chance to capture all the detail you can.
