Ive had a bmc induction kit on my redtop Corsa since I got it but I recently sold the bmc and put a Jerex cone filter on which now it seems to struggle to rev up and sucks really hard before actually accelerating if ya know wat a mean,just wondering wat ppl think a shud do buy another bmc?standard airbo but not sure wat fits or stick with it am really stuck its made me hate the car lol

Try another filter and see what happens?

airflow meter mate its either on its way out or when you changed it u upset the wiring to it maybe one is shorting out or has come away from the plug altogether mine did this when i changed gearbox dropped engine abit and 1 of the wires had come away from the plug although it wouldnt rev proper would just backfire check wiring and unplug afm see if any changes

If he's changed the air filter and this problem only started after he did that why would he want to be looking at the afm? The cone filter's make XEs run a bit lame so it's probably just that

Why did you swap a bmc over for a cone filter in the first place?

By removing it he cud have moved the pipe that is on afm hence upseting wiring thats probs 15year old mine did this just by driving over say a bump sumtimes it wudnt rev turnd owt a wire on afm was just hanging on but was touching another wire on plug because there were exposd not saying it is that i'm just saying its a posibility

It does rev up no bother just seems laggy if u no wat a mean wen u rev

It is possible bud but I'd say that's quite a rarity. Also if it was a fault with the afm it would run like a bag of shite, or not even at all.

Switch it for an enclosed filter again, I went from a cone to an ebay cf enclosed induction kit. It made it run far smoother

U got a link mate I wa til either a 1.0 airbox or a 1.4 airbox wud be better
