Hi. 4 or 5 of us are going to do a full weekend this year at Goodwood Festival of Speed, I was wondering if anyone from here had been before and if you could recommend anywhere to stay? Either camping or cheapo B&B!

i managed to book cheap ish B+B about 20-30 mins away! think it was called red lion! i have not been before, girlfriend bought me tickets for christmas!

How close would you be looking to stay to Goodwood itself and what sort of budget do you mean by cheap?
Has to be said in general there's not a lot of 'cheap' places to stay nearby as it's all little villages with wealthy people living in them 
Prices near the dates of Goodwood are at their highest too, and anywhere much cop will already be booked up for this year and taking bookings for the following year

Camp at good wood 150 for 5 people for the weekend and Adam its the best Motorsport/car show event of the yr and I'm going for all 3 days aswell so see ya there

I stayed in Chichester when we went. Bit of a drive to get there in the morning though.

It's on the goodwood site mate it might be a little more than £150 this yr but ever way it's cheaper than any hotel for 5 of you. I was gonna try and plan a cs sc/se day out on the Friday of the event

ill be going to goodward festival of speed and the revival for the whole length of it with work, spent last year in the hospitality areas with my boss mingling with lewis hamilton and his brother nigel mansel jensen button the guy whos cheif of red bull racing etc was awesome cant wait for this year again!!!

It must have been the other side of the outskirts of Chichester I stayed in then. It was about a 10 min drive to Goodwood.

That's hardly bit of a drive is it?
Chichester is the biggest place for miles near Goodwood - everywhere else is tiny little villages.
